Donna Grattino is the Director of Transportation for Douglas County School District.  She was new to the Student Transportation Industry when she started with DCSD in 2014.  She has over 20 years of experience in Transportation and Logistics working in the private sector.  She loves being in the school district and it is by far her favorite job.   Donna strives to make a positive difference in student transportation and the reason she joined the CSPTA in 2016.  She is also a member of the state Transportation Advisory Council.  When she’s not working, which is seldom, she enjoys time with her family and dogs, camping, reading and riding UTV’s.

I have been in the pupil Transportation Industry for 32 years to include 20 years driving over-the-road in the commercial side of transportation. I was apprehensive about driving large vehicles and driving children, but found that I loved working with people and students and keeping them safe. 

 I work with an amazing group of people at Widefield to promote school bus safety. This is accomplished through an interactive safety program geared to preschool and elementary level children and parents. This program incorporates imagination, coloring contest (winners receive $50 and recognition through district), hands on instruction (danger zones, Special Needs sensitivity and equipment, pedestrian, stranger danger, and bicycle safety, along with classroom instruction). Every year my safety team and I have been invited back to instruct this program.

Currently I am the Lead Trainer/CO 3rd Party Tester at Widefield SD3, which I have been doing for 16 years; I love instructing and sharing my knowledge. I am also the CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) instructor, which I have been doing for 12 years.  I am involved with the CSPTA Trainers and SPED Committee, I Co-chair on the CSPTA Roadeo Committee, and now take notes for the E Board meetings as secretary.   I have a passionate interest in helping others to accomplish their goals and sharing information that will make people better at transporting our students safely within the state of Colorado. I am here to make you successful!

I have been in School bus transportation for 25 years.  I have worked in 3 districts, starting as a bus driver, then router/supervisor/dispatcher, next I moved to a terminal manager(which is my current position).  I have been an active member of the CSPTA as a, member, sped committee member, secretary to the board, and now I am the District 1 representative.  I am here for the members, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you!

I'm a 10 year transportation veteran who began as a bus driver (with my two kiddos riding with me) then became a dispatcher, a supervisor, a terminal manager and now an Assistant Director. I have worked for two districts and learned so much from both. As the Sped committee chair, I hope we can build up our membership and educate, inform and enjoy each other's ideas and perspectives. I believe there's no "I" in team and that we can accomplish monumental things when we work together.  As the District At Large Board member, I am here to serve.
