Transportation Operations Manager

Salary range 4 APT Schedule:  $56,133 - $68,455 based on work experience (based on 2018-2019 salary schedule-subject to change). 260 days per year ~ full benefits.   

Responsible for day-to-day operations of the transportation department. Provide supervision and support to transportation employees.  Specific duties include:

• Monitor district bus routes to ensure safe and efficient transportation of students
• Supervise, set schedules, expectations and guidelines for bus drivers, bus monitors, dispatcher, and other transportation operational employees
• Supervise transportation scheduling methods, including route development for regular and special education routes, as well as activity trips
• Develop training for new transportation employees
• Assist Director of Transportation with establishing standard operating procedures
• Assist bus drivers in effectively addressing and monitoring student discipline issues
• Review accidents and prepare reports for Director of Transportation
• Assist with resolution of concerns from students, parents, public, etc.
• Other duties as assigned

Education and Related Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in job related field preferred. Equivalent relevant experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Minimum of three years of experience in a supervisory or management position
Experience in routing and mapping systems preferred

Certificates, Licenses:
Colorado Drivers License
Class BPS Commercial drivers license (CDL) or ability to obtain such license
